MUSKY LURES. Each lure is made by hand by me and I go to extra
levels to make sure that you will get a Quality Lure. I am currently
producing the only mid size Clatter Bait perfect for spring Muskies and
Northern pike. I also produce several color Bucktails , Inline Marabous,
Offset Spinners and 4" Rattling Shads.
In 2006 I entered the I.M.T.T. “ILLINOIS MUSKY TOURNAMENT TRAIL“
to present my lures to the public and to use in the tournaments. Musky
Fisherman are very weary about buying lures and the only thing they
want are lures that they have seen catch fish. I Went to Lake Kinkaid
for the 2nd tournament of the season and my first for the year. On my
11th cast I pull in a 40“ musky and a 1/2 hour later I pull in my largest
bass 22 inch, 7.5lbs. Later during the day I pulled in a 36“ musky this
was a Great 1st day out of a 2 day tournament, I was in second place. I
donated several lures for the Tournament Banquet so the other
fisherman could use on the second day. Matt Thatcher won one of my
Bucktails and used it, on his second cast he catches a 41 inch musky
knocking me out of second and putting me into third. This was a
SWEET VICTORY for R-TRAPP BAITS, 2nd and 3rd place winners
caught fish with my lures. I went to 5 more Tournaments and was in
the race for the TRAIL CHAMPION. I caught 2 more fish a 41.5“ Musky
out of Lake Shelbyville and a 32“; musky out of Lake Kinkaid. I also
was told that the IMTT President used my lure during a Tournament
and caught a 38“Musky.
I WAS PROUD TO TAKE 2ND PLACE OUT OF 275 FISHERMAN IN THE
ILLINOIS MUSKY TOURNAMENT TRAIL IT WAS A VICTORY FOR R-
TRAPP BAITS.
